Customer Testimonial
"I want to write and thank Halstatt and Tad at Marketing Titan for the web support provided for Universal Financial Consultants.

The rolling banner on my email form has created a great deal of interest back to my website, and all the work that your webmaster has done to rebuild my site has truly changed the way that my company operates on a daily basis. In the past, I would have to access public websites for quoting purposes (one at a time), but with your expertise, I can now pull multiple quotes right from the quoting engines installed on my own site for both the life and the health insurance carriers. I have now opened these engines up for public access, enabling me to have a much bigger presence on the web, and giving my clients a tool that they could not get elsewhere in the past.

Thank you for the marvelous marketing and design work and the personal assistance you have provided me in building this project. I am referring some of my best clients to you."

Add a date to your web page with PHP
Part II - An Introduction to Programming

Resources - Tutorials and Articles

Now that you have determined your web host has PHP installed, let's add a date to your web page. The code for this is nice and simple, as follows:
<?
  // Prints something like: 05th 2012f February 2012
  echo date ("dS of F Y");
?>
You may have noticed the use of the //. This little piece of code remarks out lines of PHP. When PHP comes to a line beginning with //, it skips over it.

Now suppose for a moment that you don't think "11th of November 2003" sounds cool enough. You absolutely must have your web page read:
Today's Date: 2012.02.05
Done. Just use code like this:
Today's Date: <? echo date ("Y.m.d"); ?>
You may be wondering how I knew I could change the format of the date by changing "dS of F Y" to "Y.m.d" in the code. Well, good news. No need to memorize what those little letters translate to in English. It is all right here for you, on the home of PHP itself: http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.date.php

There are even codes for adding the time to your web site. Easy, right? Next up, daily updates using PHP.
